Mendl was a type family created by Angel Kwong at the Dalton Maag. Mendl Serif Variable was based on the Art Deco Movement. The Art Deco movement was a popular movement in design
characterized by sleek geometric and stylized forms and by the use
of man-made materials. Based on this information I created this Mendle Sans and Serif poster for my Typography I class at Western Washington University. 
Below are some concept sketches and process pieces. The mock style guides are two ideas that I merged together to inspire the final design.
